Charlotte Ruth Powell, 95, of Missouri, formerly of Jasper, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2021 at Laurie Care Center.

The Rev. Delmus R. Anthony, 85, of Jasper, passed peacefully into the presence of God Feb. 22, 2021, at Ridgeview Nursing Facility.

Willie Mae “Cousie” Byars, 74, of Empire, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2021 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, at Bell Sumiton Chapel, with burial at Dilworth Cemetery. Ronnie Thompson and Randall Busby will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Nelda Freeman Barton, 82, of Birmingham, passed away peacefully Feb. 20, 2021, with her son at her side.

A native of Jasper, Nelda was a graduate of Curry High School and Walker College. She spent the majority of her career working in the Walker County Probate Office, retiring as Chief Clerk under Judge Rick Allison.

Carolyn Appling Satterwhite, 75, of Parrish, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Ridgewood Nursing Home.
