Age 74 of Empire
Willie Mae “Cousie” Byars, 74, of Empire, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, at Bell Sumiton Chapel, with burial at Dilworth Cemetery. Ronnie Thompson and Randall Busby will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie “Bill” Clark and Annie Mae Clark; grandson, David Cody Buzbee; and brother, L.C. “Punk” Clark.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Robert Byars; sons, Randell Buzbee (Linda), David Buzbee (Angie) and Colton Lesley (Selina); daughters, LaBresca Cornwell (Keith), Kayla Hardin and Sadie Byars; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; special friends, Doris Moncrief and Betty Owens; brothers, Rab Clark and the Rev. Ronnie Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends.
