Family will be receiving friends Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Walker Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Garfield Powell; parents, John and Ida Belle Knox; and siblings, John “Jack” Knox, Sue Powell, Lucille Powell and Carl Knox.
She is survived by her son, James Powell (Becky); grandchildren, Rachelle Powell (Mike), James Powell (Jackie) and Sean Powell (Uzma); five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
