Born Nov. 6, 1954, in Carbon Hill, Alabama, Kathy Ann Miranda, of Houston, Texas, passed away Feb. 5, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Earl “Tooter” McGinnis; her mother, LaVera Jordan; her brother, James McGinnis; and her son, Tommy Dale Warren.
She is survived by her husband, Carlos Miranda; her son, James Warren and his children, Rebecca, James Junior, Rosetta and Jamie; son, Richard Wood; daughter, Brandy Wagner and her husband, Adrian, and their children, Faith and Brent; daughter, Esmeralda Wren and her husband, Michael, and their children, Natalie, Elizabeth, and Jordan; daughter, Christal Armijo and her husband, Saul, and their children, Christopher and Jocelyn; daughter, Carla Miranda, and her daughter, Camila; son, Carlos Miranda Junior; and her son, Tommy Dale Warren’s children, Isaac Warren and James Larell Haddock.
While these are the names of Kathy’s family linked by blood and marriage, there are many more people who became family as they entered her life. Kathy had a way of ensuring all who entered her home knew they would always have a place at her table and in her heart.
A caring, selfless and vibrant human being, may we celebrate the rich life lived and the full heart shared with so many.
