Jasper spilts with Buckhorn, forces Game 3

Game 1

Buckhorn 3, Jasper 0

Buckhorn Jarret Morrison pitched six and one-third inns, giving up three hits with three strikeouts. Ayden Payne pitched one-third inning.

At the plate, Aiden McGinnis, Kevin Elmore, Spencer Rosenfeld, Trysten Cacioppo and Jarett Morrison all had a hit.

Game 2

Jasper 3, Buckhorn 2

Tyler Morrison pitched six innings, giving up six hits with eight strikeouts. Aiden McGinnis pitched two no-hit innings with four strikeouts.

Offensively, McGinnis went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Cole Sargent was 2 for 3 with a run scored and Payne recorded a hit with a run scored as the at-bat leaders.

Sumiton Christian sweeps Athens Bible

Game 1

Sumiton Christian 7, Athens Bible 6

Sumiton Christian seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off walk at the end of the game to topple Athens Bible.

Sam Nix collected four hits in four at bats to help lead the Eagles to victory.

Landon Shumate earned the victory on the hill for Sumiton Christian. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, walking zero. Ashton Harper threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Justin Hicks started the game, allowing three hits and six runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out nine.

Nix led Sumiton Christian with four hits in four at bats.

Game 2

Sumiton Christian 10, Athens Bible 4

Sumiton Christian nabbed the lead late in the game in a 10-4 victory over Athens Bible on Friday.

Justin Hicks went 2-for-4 at the plate. Hicks drove in runs on a in the first, a double in the seventh, and a single in the eighth.

Tyler Ingle got the win for the Eagles. The pitcher lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out eight. Braden Woodard, Landon Shumate, and Ashton Harper all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Sumiton Christian racked up 12 hits in the game. Nix, Yancey Young, Jake Mcdonald, Hicks, and Jake White all collected multiple hits for the Eagles. Young and Nix each collected three hits.

Lauderdale Co. eliminates Carbon Hill

Game 1

Lauderdale Co. 2, Carbon Hill 0

Laney Keeton pitched six no-hit innings, striking out eight batters.

Jase Julian had a hit.

Game 2

Lauderdale Co. 11, Carbon Hill 2

Blake Wright pitched three and two-thirds innings, recording four strikeouts. Braden Amerson and Keeton shared time on the mound.

At the plate, Amerson hit a two-run triple, Wright had a hit with a run scored and Keeton scored a run.

Madison Co. Eliminates Curry

Game 1

Will Haynes pitched four innings, recording four strikeouts. Blanton Gillespie pitched three innings with a strikeout.

At the plate, Haynes and Caleb Allred both had a hit with a run scored, Davis drove-in a run on a hit and Trent McBryde scored a run as the at-bat leaders.

Game 2

Madison Co. 8, Curry 2

Davis pitched four innings, giving up three hits with seven strikeouts. Eli Kennedy pitched two no-hit innings with two strikeouts.

Offensively, Brodie Naramore went 2 for 2 with a double and a run scored, Kennedy hit a triple with a run scored and Haynes had a hit as the at-bat leaders.

Straughn eliminates Dora

Garrett Hogland pitched three and one-third innings, with six strikeouts. Ryan Harris pitched two innings.

At the plate, Hogland went 2 for 3, Dakota Cobb hit a double and Carson Fowler scored a run as the at-bat leaders.

Game 2

Straughn 13, Dora 5

Cobb pitched five and one-third innings with two strikeouts. Boone Martin pitched one and two-thirds innings.

Offensively, James Mata went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Cooper Martin recorded a hit with two runs scored and Hogland had a hit with a run scored as the at-bat leaders.
