New 10-week program will help aspiring and early-stage business owners turn ideas into sustainable ventures
JASPER, Ala. — August 7, 2026 — Jasper Main Street is proud to announce the launch of Venture Jasper, a 10-week CO.STARTERS Entrepreneurship Program designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage business owners transform their ideas into sustainable businesses.
Using the nationally recognized CO.STARTERS Canvas framework, participants will learn how to test and refine their business ideas, better understand their customers, develop revenue models, navigate legal and accounting considerations, and create practical strategies for long-term growth.
“Venture Jasper gives local entrepreneurs access to the tools, guidance, and support they need to build a strong foundation for success,” said Mike Putman, executive director of Jasper Main Street. “Whether someone is beginning with a brand-new idea or working to strengthen an existing business model, this program will help them move forward with greater clarity and confidence.”
Venture Jasper sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Jasper Welcome Center, located at 311 West 18th Street in downtown Jasper. The program will begin on September 15th.
Program tuition is $55 (plus processing fee) and includes all course materials, weekly light refreshments, presentations from guest speakers, and mentorship opportunities.
Comparable entrepreneurship programs can cost $500 or more. Thanks to a generous grant from the Walker Area Community Foundation, Jasper Main Street is able to offer Venture Jasper at a significantly reduced cost.
Enrollment is limited to 10 participants. Attendance at all 10 sessions is required to graduate from the program. Participants who successfully complete Venture Jasper will also be eligible to apply for a Jasper Main Street grant to assist with marketing their business.
