The Jasper Vikings wrestling team split Thursday’s two meets, losing to Mortimer Jordan, 39-34 and beating Fort Payne, 48-22.
Against Mortimer Jordan, Antonio Nash (132 lbs.), Moises Sanchez (170 lbs.) and Collin Langley (285 lbs.) all won by pinfall, Cooper Brooks (138 lbs.) won by 5-2 decision, Cole Carter (220 lbs.) won via 8-4 decision and Preston Reed (182 lbs.) won by 9-0 major decision.
In the win over Fort Payne, Kortez Samuels (106 lbs.), Ethan Caldwell (120 lbs.), Carter Reed (145 lbs.), Preston Reed, Jamie Burnam (182 lbs.), Carter and Langley all won by pinfall, Nash won via 12-10 decision, and Brooks won by 6-2 decison.
