The Marion Military Institute Tigers outscored the Bevill State Bears 42-30 in the second half of Wednesday night’s game to earn a 76-61 win in Marion.
Carterius Evans led the Bears with a double-double effort of 15 points, 13 rebounds, along with four blocks and three steals. Cornelius Grant and Jervae Peters both scored ten points and CJ Beckham had nine points.
MMI held a one-point lead at halftime, 32-31 — a lead it never lost throughout the second half.
The Bears host Enterprise State on Friday.
