The Snead State Parsons broke away from the Bevill State Bears with four minutes remaining in regulation with a furious scoring run to clinch a 95-84 win on Thursday night in Boaz.
Jervae Peters had an excellent night for the Bears offense, scoring 27 points, while Jordan Bell added 18 points and seven rebounds. Skylar Hice had 13 points and two steals and Carterius Evans recorded a double-double of 12 points and ten rebounds.
After a slow start that included falling behind 19-4 in the first period, Bevill State rallied to close within five at the half, 47-42.
The Bears return home on Monday to face Southern Union.
