The Meek Tigers and the Oakman Wildcats both opened the first round of the AHSAA playoffs with spectacular wins — with plenty of dynamic plays made on offense and defense to help secure victory.
Matthew Clark rushed for 133 yards on 14 carries for the Tigers in Meek’s 52-20 win over R.A. Hubbard on Friday night in Courtland.
Odom passed for 106 yards on 12 of 17 passes with a touchdown, and added another score on a run in the Wildcats’ 36-7 victory over Colbert Heights Friday night in Oakman.
Clark and Odom are the Southeast Hospice/WJLX 101.5/Kustom Trophy First-Round Players of the Week and will be awarded plaques for their efforts.
