Winston County’s Ryker Morgan played a key role in the Yellow Jackets’ 14-8 victory over archrival Addison on Friday night.
Morgan totaled 211 all-purpose yards — running for 156 yards on 31 carries with a touchdown, while passing for 55 yards and a touchdown; including the game-winning touchdown strike to brother Declyn Morgan to seal the victory.
Morgan has been named the Southeast Hospice/WJLX 101.5/Kustom Trophy Player of the Week and will be presented a plaque this week to honor his performance.
Special recognition this week is also extended to the Sumiton Christian Eagles’ defense, which held Woodville to just 47 total yards in Friday night’s shutout.
