Two officer-involved shootings, at least one of which resulted in a death, have been reported in the last 24 hours in Walker County.
The first occurred Friday night in Empire and involved the Walker County Sheriff’s Office. One person died, according to a post on the WCSO Facebook page.
Deputies were called out on a domestic violence call.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating.
The second occurred Saturday morning in the 500 block of High Street in Dora. Two officers received minor injuries and the suspect was taken to the hospital, according to a post on the Dora Police Department Facebook page.
