Carterius Evans scored 21 points, along with five rebounds and two steals to win Pinnacle Bank/WJLX 101.5 FM Player of the Game honors in the Bevill State Bears’ 68-61 loss to the Wallace-Selma Patriots on Thursday night at Glen Clem Gymnasium.
Camron Scott had 10 points and Jordan Bell score nine points with four rebounds and a block.
The Patriots led 36-31 at halftime, but the Bears battled back to hold a 42-41 advantage midway through the second period. Wallace-Selma was able to come up with key shots in the final moments of regulation to claim the 68-61 win.
Bevill State next scheduled game is Jan. 6 against Marion Military Academy, though the coaching staff has stated two games may be scheduled this month. When additional contests are confirmed, WJLX will notify our audience through website posts, on-air announcements and through social media.
