Carterius Evans posted a double-double of 29 points with 13 rebounds in the Bevill State Bears’ 85-66 loss to the Wallace State-Hanceville Lions on Monday.
Jervae Peters added 16 points, while Skylar Hice scored seven points.
The first period was heavily contested between the two teams before the Lions took control at halftime, 44-31.
Wallace-Hanceville controlled the second half en route to the 85-66 final.
Bevill State hosts Snead State on Thursday.
