Jasper’s Landon Castillo and Addison’s Christian Roberts closed-out region play with solid efforts to earn Southeast Hospice/WJLX 101.5 FM/Kustom Trophy Player of the Week honors.
Castillo, who has been a reliable and ever-present standout of the Viking defense throughout the season, continued the effort against Pinson Valley with nine tackles.
Roberts. who overcame a lengthy absence this season due to injury, ended his senior season by totaling 202 yards — completing 11 of 18 passes for 142 yards with a touchdown, while rushing for 60 yards on 17 carries.
Both will be presented with Player of the Week plaques this week.

Jasper — Treyvon Stewart: 36 carries for 225 yards with three touchdowns; Spencer Rosenfeld: 12 of 17 passing for 191 yards with a touchdown and an interception; Kevon Samuels: Six catches for 111 yards with a touchdown; Elijah Kimbrell: Eight tackles
Oakman — Kaedyn Marchbanks: Five total touchdowns, four rushes for 64 yards and three touchdowns, returned an interception for a touchdown and returned a kickoff for a score; Sean Douglas: Two rushes for 120 yards and two touchdowns; Ryan Shepard: Three rushes for 97 yards and a score
Dora — Jamarcus Goodman: 22 carries for 105 yards with two touchdowns
Meek — Blake Miller and Matthew Clark: Both rushed for 87 yards; Cam Deaver: 83 yards rushing with two touchdowns
Sumiton Christian — Jack Gable: Two rushing touchdowns, Austin Scobey: Returned an interception for a touchdown
Winston County — Ryker Morgan: 165 yards rushing with three touchdowns while passing for 42 yards with a score
Cordova — Cody Headrick: Touchdown pass; Cade Narramore: Caught a touchdown pass
