The Bevill State Bears dropped two games to Southwest Tennessee on Friday, losing Game 1, 6-2, and Game 2, 13-6, at Dora.
Katelyn Makemson pitched six innings in Game 1, giving up two earned runs and striking out nine batters. Anna Lacy pitched one inning.
At the plate, MacKenzie Kirby went 2 for 2 with a double and an RBI, Savannah Neely was 2 for 4 with a run scored, Katie Puckett hit a double, Kaylee Robinson had a hit with an RBI, Santana Clark, Magen Caro and Brandy Johnson each recorded a hit and Jana Morrow scored a run.
Hannah Payne pitched three and two-thirds innings in Game 2, recording four strikeouts. Clark pitched two and one-third innings with a strikeout.
Offensively, Puckett went 3 for 3 with a homerun, four RBIs and a run scored, Clark was 2 for 2 with three runs scored, Caro had a hit with a run scored, Kirby recorded a hit, Alex Martin had a hit, Kelsi Lemmond scored a run and Brentli Champion drove-in a score.
