BOONESVILLE, Miss – Jervae Peters scored 15 points to lead the Bevill State Bears in a season-opening, 105-54 loss to the nationally-ranked No 22 Northeast Mississippi Tigers on Monday at Bonner Arnold Coliseum in Boonesville, Miss.
C.J. Beckham added 10 points and a steal for the Bears and Skylar Hice had 10 points and two steals.
The Tigers held a 51-23 lead and the half and outscored Bevill State 54-31 throughout the second half for the 105-54 final.
Bevill State returns home Friday to play the Stillman JV at 2 p.m.
