Playing on their new field on Thursday afternoon, the Bevill State Bears fell in a double header to the MMI Tigers, 7-1 and 3-1 in Sumiton.
Santana Clark pitched seven innings in Game 1, striking out five batters.
At the plate, Clark went 3 for 4 with a solo homerun, while Katie Puckett recorded a double, MacKenzie Kirby, Savannah Neely and Brentli Champion each recorded a hit.
Anna Lacy pitched seven innings in Game 2, recording five strikeouts.
Offensively, Clark went 2 for 4 with a double, Champion drove-in a run on a double, Neely scored a run and Kirby, Magen Caro, Sydney Borden and Brandy Johnson all had a hit.
