Sumiton Christian 19, Cornerstone 1

Tyler Ingle didn’t feel much like getting out on Monday, tallying four hits and leading the Sumiton Christian Eagles to a 19-1 win over Cornerstone. Ingle doubled in the first, doubled in the first, doubled in the third, and doubled in the fourth.

Yancey Young led the Eagles to victory on the hill. He allowed zero hits and one run over three innings, striking out five. Sam Nix threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Justin Hicks started the game for Sumiton Christian. The ace surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, striking out three and walking zero

Sumiton Christian collected 16 hits. Ingle, Ashton Whiten, Nix, C J Harlan, Young, and Jake White each racked up multiple hits for Sumiton Christian Eagles Varsity. Ingle went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Sumiton Christian Eagles Varsity in hits.


Curry 5, Cold Springs 1

Brayden Davis pitched five shutout innings in the win for the Yellow Jackets, giving up one hit and recording 15 strikeouts. Carson Dunagan pitched two innings, giving up two hits with three strikeouts.

At the plate, Brodie Naramore and Dunagan both had a hit with a run scored and an RBI, Davis recorded a hit with two runs scored, Eli Kennedy had a hit with an RBI, Jacob Bentley recorded a hit with a run scored and Blanton Gillespie drove-in a run.


Mortimer Jordan 1, Cordova 0

Japeth Howell pitched four innings, recording one strikeout. Austin Dill and Hunt shared time on the mound.

At the plate, Kitchens and Garrett Gilmore each had a hit.


Carbon Hill 5, Berry 1

Kristopher Jones pitched six innings, recording nine strikeouts, with Blake Wright pitching one inning with one strikeout.

Offensively, Laney Keeton recorded a hit with two runs scored and an RBI, Wright and Jones both had a hit with an RBI and Clay Tittle recorded a hit with a run scored.
