Lamon pitched five innings, recording a strikeout.
Offensively, Ana Guy went 2 for 2, Kalee Edwards had a hit with two runs scored and Brittany Parker recorded a hit with a run scored as the at-bat leaders.

Sumiton Christian 12, Cordova 4

Sumiton Christian Eagles had everything working in Saturday’s double-header, winning big over Cordova in Game 1, 12-4.
Sumiton Christian put up six runs in the seventh inning. Sumiton Christian offense in the inning was led by Justin Hicks, Jake Mcdonald, Jake White, Ashton Harper, and Yancey Young, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Hicks got the win for the Eagles. The hurler surrendered two runs on three hits over six innings, striking out four and walking one. Braden Woodard threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Hunt took the loss for Cordova. The pitcher went five innings, allowing six runs on six hits, striking out five and walking one.
Sumiton Christian had eight hits in the game. Sam Nix and Tyler Ingle each had multiple hits for the Eagles. Ingle and Nix each collected two hits.
Kody Headrick led Cordova with two hits in three at bats.
Cordova 5, Sumiton Christian 0
Cordova split the double-header by winning Game 2.
J Howell was the winning pitcher for Cordova. He surrendered zero runs on three hits over six innings, striking out five and walking one. J Dunagan threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
One bright spot for Sumiton Christian was a single by Sam Nix in the first inning.
Tyler Ingle took the loss for Sumiton Christian. The hurler surrendered three runs on three hits over three innings, striking out two and walking one.
Austin Scobey, Landon Shumate, and Nix each managed one hit to lead Sumiton Christian.
Garrett Gilmore led Cordova with two hits in three at bats.
