At the plate, Tyler Morrison went a perfect 4 for 4 with a homerun, two runs scored and two RBIs, McGinnis was 2 for 2 with a run scored and an RBI and Rosenfeld hit a triple with three RBIs as the at-bat leaders.

Carbon Hill 15, Oakman 6

Blake Wright pitched five innings in the win for Carbon Hill, striking out eight batters. Braden Amerson pitched two innings, giving up a hit with five strikeouts.

Offensively for the Bulldogs, Clay Tittle went 3 for 4 with three runs scored and two RBIs, Logan Harper was 2 for 4 with a double, two runs scored and four RBIs, Ashton Vaughn went 2 for 4 with a run scored and three RBIs and Jase Julian was 2 for 5 with a run scored and two RBIs as the at-bat leaders.

For Oakman, William Ranier pitched six innings with nine strikeouts. Ethan Ray and Colt Crowell shared time on the mound.

At the plate for the Wildcats, Ranier went 2 for 4 with a run scored, Ray was 2 for 4 with two runs scored and an RBI and Matthew Smith hit a double with a run scored and an RBI as the at-bat leaders.

Shades Valley 2, Sumiton Christian 0

The Sumiton Christian Eagles watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 2-0 loss to Shades Valley on Monday.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Shades Valley pitchers struck out 15, while Sumiton Christian sat down six.

Tyler Ingle took the loss for Sumiton Christian. The hurler went seven innings, allowing two runs on nine hits, striking out six and walking zero.

Nix led the Eagles with one hit in three at bats.

Curry 12, Hanceville 2

Will Haynes pitched four and one-third innings in the win, giving up two hits and an earned run, while striking out 11 batters. Eli Kennedy pitched one and two-thirds shutout innings, giving up three hits with three strikeouts.

At the plate, Trent McBryde went 3 for 3 with three runs scored and two RBIs, Carson Dunagan was 2 for 3, both doubles, and two RBIs, Jacob Bentley went 2 for 3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI, Haynes hit a two-run homerun and Kennedy had a hit with an RBI as the at-bat leaders.

Alena Howse pitched four shutout innings in the win, giving up one hit with nine strikeouts.

Offensively, Lane West went 2 for 2 with a double, three runs scored and an RBI, Linley Tubbs was 2 for 2 with two runs scored and an RBI, Ambrey Taylor went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and an RBI, Sydney Mancone was 2 for 4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI, Alayna Key had a double with a run scored and three RBIs and Kylee Trotter hit a triple with a run scored and an RBI as the at-bat leaders.

Haleigh Lamon pitched four innings in the win for Carbon Hill, giving up four hits and an earned run with six strikeouts. Ella Hyde pitched one inning.
