Jasper 7, Mortimer Jordan 4

Tyler Morrison got the win for the Vikings, pitching three and two-thirds innings with a strikeout and two earned runs. Aiden McGinnis, Sage Rosenfeld, and Jarrett Morrison each spent time on the mound.

At the plate, Ayden Payne went 2 for 4 with a run scored, McGinnis hit a three-run homerun, Trysten Cacioppo had a run scored with two RBIs, Kevin Elmore drove-in a run on a hit, Jarrett Morrison and Cole Sargent each had a hit with a run scored and Rosenfeld drove-in a run.

 

Carbon Hill 8, Curry 1

Laney Keeton pitched four shutout innings in the win for Carbon Hill, giving up two hits and recording six strikeouts. Logan Harper added two and two-thirds innings on the mound, giving up three hits, an earned runs and striking out four batters.

Keeton went a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate, with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs scored. Clay Tittle went 2 for 4 with two runs scored, a double and an RBI.

For Curry, Brodie Naramore pitched three and two-thirds innings, recording five strikeouts. Will Davis, Carson Dunagan and Brayden Davis contributed on the mound.

Naramore drove-in a run on a hit, while Brayden Davis, Trent McBryde, Eli Kennedy and Caleb Allred each had a hit.

 

Cordova 5, Dora 1

Garrett Gilmore pitched four shutout innings in the win for Cordova, recording eight strikeouts. Caden Owens drove-in a run on a triple and later scored as the Blue Devils’ top offensive player.

Garrett Hogland pitched five no-hit innings for Dora, giving up an earned run with six strikeouts. Hogland went 3 for 4 at the plate as the Bulldogs ‘top offensive player.

SOFTBALL

Carbon Hill records 20-0, 18-0 wins over Tarrant

Haleigh Lamon pitched three perfect innings in the Game 1 win for Carbon Hill, striking out all nine batters. Brittany Parker was the Bulldogs’ top offensive player, going a flawless 3 for 3 with a homerun, a double, two runs scored and five RBIs.

Ella Hyde pitched three perfect innings in the Game 2 win, striking out seven batters. Charley Wagar was the Bulldogs’ top offensive player, with a hit and two runs scored.

 

Curry 13, Gardendale 0

Alena Howse got the win for Curry, giving up one hit in five shutout innings with five strikeouts. Ella Wright pitched two perfect innings in relief with four strikeouts.

At the plate, Linley Tubbs went 3 for 4 with a homerun, two runs scored, a double and an RBI, Marissa Lawson was 3 for 4 with two runs scored and an RBI, Kylee Trotter was 3 for 5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. Alayna Key 2 for 5 with a run scored and an RBI, Brenna Wakefield was 2 for 3 with a homerun, a run scored and four RBIs, and Reese Miller was 2 for 4 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs.
