Bevill State topped Chattahoochie Valley on Sunday to extend their undefeated streak to eight games on the season in a double header, winning Game 1 9-6 and Game 2 9-1 in Phenix City.
In Game 1, Jessy Aston pitched four and two-thirds innings, giving up five hits with two strikeouts. Katelyn Makemson pitched two and one-third innings, giving up two hits and an earned run. At the plate, AK Tyree went 2 for 3 with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs scored, Brynn Repicky was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored, Rachel Whitmer went 2 for 4 with a double and two runs scored, and Katie Puckett and Isabelle Santos both hit a homerun with an RBI.
In Game 2, Kyla Edmondson pitched five innings, giving up five hits and a run with three strikeouts. Offensively, Santana Clark went 3 for 3 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored, Savannah Neely was 2 for 2 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored, Ansley Laye went 2 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored and Tyree hit a solo homerun.
