The Bevill State Bears are now 14-0 after Saturday’s doulble victories over Columbia State, 21-4 in Game 1 and 4-2 in Game 2 in Sumiton.
Santana Clark pitched three innings in Game 1, giving up three hits, no eanred runs with two strikeouts. Emily Adkins pitched two innings, giving up five hits, three earned runs and a walk. At the plate, Carlie Burnam went a perfect 4 for 4 with two homeruns, five RBIs and two runs scored, Katie Puckett was 3 for 3 with with a homerun, two RBIs and four runs scored and Rachel Whitmer went 2 for 4 with four RBIs and two runs scored.
Kyla Edmondson got the seven-inning, Game 2 win, giving up five hits, no earned runs, with three walks and four strikeouts. Offensively, Clark had a hit with an RBI and two runs scored, AK Tyree drove in a run and Brynn Repicky scored a run with an RBI.
