Bevill State saw its 15-game winning streak come to an end after splitting Tuesday’s series with Lurleen B. Wallace, winning Game 1 9-5 and losing Game 2 10-5 in Sumiton.
Santana Clark pitched seven innings in the win, giving up six hits, three earned runs and two walks. At the plate, Addison Rose went 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI, Clark was 2 for 4 with two runs scored and an RBI, Katie Puckett hit a two-run homerun, Ansley Laye had a double with a runs scored and an RBI and Rachel Whitmer had a double.
Kyla Edmonson pitched four innings in Game 2, giving up seven hits, two earned runs and a walk with two strikeouts. Katelyn Makemson pitched three innings, giving up five hits with an earned run and a walk with two strikeouts. Offensively, Clark went 3 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored and Brynn Repicky his a solo homerun.
