The Bevill State Bears opened the 2022-23 regular season with good efforts on offense and defense, as they prevailed over the Stillman JV, 73-54, at Clem Gymnasium.
Ja’Myas Davis led the Bears with 12 points, with Jaylon Stevenson adding 11 points and Ja’Lynn Lacey scoring 10 points.
Bevill State led Stillman 38-23 at halftime.
The Bears will host Itawamba Community College(MS) on Thursday with a 6 p.m. tip off. There will be a tailgate party at Clem Gymnasium at 4 p.m. with a pep rally following at 5 p.m.
