The Bevill State Bears dropped both games of Thursday’s home series with the Calhoun Warhawks, Game 1, 8-3, and Game 2, 8-0, in Sumiton.
Santana Clark pitched four innings, with Kyla Edmondson pitched three innings, giving up a hit, an earned run and three walks with three strikeouts. At the plate, Katie Puckett went 2 for 2 with a two-run homerun, AK Tyree was 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI and Santana Clark recorded a hit with a run scored.
Jessy Aston pitched two and two-thirds innings, giving up five earned runs on five hits, with three walks and a strikeout, Emma Black pitched two innings, giving up a hit, a walk and striking out a batter and Kyla Edmondson pitched a third of an inning. Offensively, Santana Clark, Carlie Burnham and Rachel Whitmer had a hit each.
