The Bevill State Bears closed the regular season with a pair of loses to the MMI Tigers, 12-10 in Game 1 and 8-0 in Game 2 on Sunday in Sumiton.
Kayla Edmondson pitched 4.1 innings, giving up eight hits, eight earned runs and six walks with three strikeouts. Emma Black pitched 2.2 innings, with five hits, two earned run and a walk. At the plate, AK Tyree went 4 for 4 with three homeruns, a double, six RBIs and four runs scored, Carlie Burnham was 2 for 4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored, Brynn Repicky went 3 for 5 with with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs scored, Santana Clark was 2 for 4 with two runs scored and Katie Puckett went 2 for 5 with a double. For MMI, Sumiton Christian’s Alex Erwin went 1 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.
Emily Adkins pitched four and one-third innings in Game 2, giving up eight hits, three earned runs, three walks with six strikeouts. Katelyn Makemson pitched two and two-thirds innings, giving up four hits, five earned runs, two walks with two strikeouts. Offensively, Skylar Black went 2 for 3 and Savannah Neely recorded a hit. For MMI, Erwin had a double with two runs scored and an RBI.
