Bears dominant in sweep of SW Tennessee

The Bevill State Bears looked in good form in a road sweep of South West Tennessee on Tuesday, winning Game 1 13-3 and Game 2 12-1 in Memphis.

Jessy Aston pitched six innings in the Game 1 victory, giving up nine hits and an earned run and a walk with two strikeouts. At the plate, Savannah Neely went 4 for 5 with a double and two RBIs, Santana Clark was 3 for 4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI and Katie Puckett went 2 for 3 with two homers, four RBIs and two runs scored.

Kyla Edmonson pitched three innings in the Game 2 win, giving up two hits, no earned runs and striking out two batters. Emma Black pitched two innings with a walk. Offensively, Isabelle Santos went 3 for 3 with a triple, a double, three RBIs and three runs scored, Addison Rose was 2 for 2, both doubles, with three runs scored and two RBIs, Skylar Black went 2 for 2 with a run scored and an RBI, Rachel Whitmer was 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI, Clark went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Brynn Repicky was 2 for 4 with a run scored and an RBI.
