Rock The South has economic impact in Jasper

SHARE NOW

An hour away in Cullman, Rock The South is in full swing with an estimated 40,000 attendees representing every state.

The three day music festival features some of the biggest country music artists in the business, including Chris Stapleton, Riley Green, Zach Bryan, Travis Tritt, Cody Johnson, Jo Dee Messina and more.

In Jasper, local businesses are feeling the effects. Marissa Denner, night manager at Holiday Inn Express on Industrial Blvd, told WJLX that the event sells out hotel rooms in Jasper each year to her knowledge.

“We sell out every year. We have guests from all over the country. I met a couple from Ohio earlier in the day,” she said.

Next door at the Hampton Inn, representatives said they are booked all weekend with guests from Louisiana, Ohio and Florida.

“We still have people calling wanting to know availability.”

Comfort Inn was the same with guests arriving from Missouri.

Rock The South will wrap up Saturday but you may see an influx of people passing through heading to the popular music festival.
