The Jasper Vikings recorded their first win of the early 2022 season on Friday, beating the Winfield Pirates, 10-9.
Spencer Rosenfeld got the win, pitching one and two-thirds innings, giving up a hit and a run, while recording three strikeouts. Five other Viking pitchers — Ayden Payne, Aiden McGinnis, Jackson Ballard, Jon Landrum, and Jarrett Morrison — saw time on the mound.
At the plate, Payne was 3 for 4 with two runs scored and an RBI, Tyler Morrison went 3 for 4 with a triple and two runs scored, Rosenfeld was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and an RBI, McGinnis hit an RBI triple with a run scored, Trysten Cacioppo recorded an RBI double with two runs scored, Lukas Clark drove-in three runs on a hit and scored a run and Landrum and Morrison each had a hit.
