Jasper’s Cole Carter added another achievement to his stellar sophomore campaign on Saturday, winning the Class 5-6A North Super Section 195 lbs. championship and top seed for next weekend’s AHSAA State Tournament in Huntsville.
Carter is joined by eight other Viking teammates who also qualified for the state tournament — Ethan Caldwell (120 lbs.) and Jamie Burnam (182 lbs.) both finished as the third seeds, Moises Sanchez (170 lbs.) and Colin Langley (285 lbs.) are fourth-seed qualifiers, Cooper Brooks (138 lbs.) is a 5th seed, Carter Reed (152 lbs.) and Preston Reed (160 lbs.) both qualified as 6th seeds and Antonio Nash (132 lbs.) is the 7th seed.
