Jasper 3, No. 1 Shelby Co. 2

Cross Cacioppo drove-in the wining run on a single in the bottom of the eighth inning to clinch a 3-2 Jasper Vikings victory over Class 5A, No. 1 Shelby County on Monday.

Tyler Morrison pitched four innings, giving up three hits and an unearned run, striking out three batters. Aiden McGinnis and Jarret Morrison spent time on the mound.

At the plate, McGinnis went 2 for 2 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI, Ayden Payne was 2 for 4 and Cole Sargent had a hit with a run scored as the at-bat leaders.

Carbon Hill 4, Meek 2

Blake Wright picked up the seven inning win for Carbon Hill, giving up a hit, two unearned runs with seven strikeouts.

At the plate for the Bulldogs, Jase Julian hit a double with a run scored, Jesse Walker recorded a double with an RBI, Ashton Vaughn had a hit with an RBI and Laney Keeton drove-in a run and scored a run as the at-bat leaders.

Ephram Milne pitched three innings for Meek, giving up three hits and an unearned run, with four strikeouts. Ethan Barton and Dylan Dunagan shared time on the mound.

Offensively for the Tigers, Jarrett Benson had a hit and Braylen Roberts and Braxton Dickerson scored a run each.

Dora 10, Fultondale 9

Dakota Cobb pitched six innings in the win, recording five strikeouts. Garrett Hogland pitched an inning with three strikeouts.

At the plate, Camdan Hines went 2 for 3 with a double, three runs scored and an RBI, Hogland was 3 for 5 with a homerun, a triple, a run scored and four RBIs, Boone Martin went 2 for 4 with a triple, a double and a run scored, James Mata was 2 for 4 with a double, Dakota Cobb went 2 for 4 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs and Cooper Martin was 2 for 5 with four runs scored as the at-bat leaders.

Sumiton Christian 12, Berry 2

Sumiton Christian took the lead late in the game in a 12-2 victory over Berry on Monday.

Justin Hicks earned the win for Sumiton Christian. He allowed one hit and one run over one inning, striking out two and walking one. Braden Woodard and Tyler Ingle entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

The Eagles saw the ball well, racking up nine hits in the game. Ingle, Hicks, Sam Nix, and Landon Shumate each racked up multiple hits for Sumiton Christian. Shumate, Nix, Hicks, and Ingle each collected two hits to lead the Eagles.

Ella Hyde pitched four innings in the win, giving up a hit, with Haleigh Lamon pitching three innings, giving up a hit with two strikeouts.

At the plate,Alleigh Keeton went 3 for 4 with a double, three runs scored and an RBI, Raelea Guy was 2 for 2 with a run scored, Kalee Edwards went 2 for 3 with a double and a run scored, Ana Guy hit a triple with a run scored and two RBIs and Hyde had a two-run homerun.

Spain Park 8, Sumiton Christian 1

Kalista Cornelison pitched four innings with a strikeout, with Bailey Phillips pitching two innings with two strikeouts.

Offensively, Izzy Ingle and Maddie MCrary both hit a double and Alison Kelly had a hit with a run scored.
