The Vikings posted a blowout victory over the defending Class 4A state champion of Arkansas Valley View, 11-1, on Wednesday in Gulf Shores.
Tyler Morrison got the win on the mound, giving up two hits and a run, while striking out four batters in six innings.
At the plate, Ayden Payne went 3 for 4 with three runs scored, Aiden McGinnis was 3 for 5 with two runs scored and two RBIs, Jarrett Morrison went 2 for 4 with a run scored and Dalton Dockins hit a double with an RBI as the at-bat leaders.

Alena Howse pitched five shutout innings, giving up five hits with three strikeouts.
Offensively, Brenna Wakefield went 2 for 2 with a homerun, a run scored and four RBIs, Linley Tubbs and Alena Key were both 2 for 2 with a run scored and Lanie West was 2 for 3 as the at-bat leaders.

Kalista Cornelison pitched four innings, striking out four batters. Phillips pitched a shutout inning, giving up a hit.
At the plate, Alison Kelly went 2 for 2 with a run scored, Izzy Ingle was 2 for 3 with a double, and Annalace Rice and Jillian Jones both hit a double with a run scored and an RBI as the at-bat leaders.
