The Bevill State Bears dropped both of Saturday’s games to the MMI Tigers in Marion, 3-2, with the home half of the series returning to Sumiton on Sunday.
Kayla Edmondson pitched five and two-thirds innings in Game 1, giving up six hits and two eanred runs. Jessy Aston shared time in the circle. At the plate, Carlie Burnham went 2 for 3, AK Tyree and Brynn Repicky both had a hit with a RBI, Santana Clark scored a run with a hit and Katie Puckett hit a double. Sumiton Christian’s Alex Erwin went 2 for 4 with two RBIs for MMI.
Katelyn Makemson pitched five and two-thirds innings in Game 2, giving up two hits, two walks and an earned run, with four strikeouts. Kayla Edmondson shared time in the circle. Offensively, Brynn Repicky wentr 2 for 3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored, Carlie Burnham was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI and Santana Clark recorded a hit with a run scored. Alex Erwin went 1 for 3 for MMI.
