Both the Bevill State Bears and the Southern Union Bison won a game each in Sumiton on Monday: the Bison winning Game 1, 6-1, and the Bears taking Game 2, 9-1; with Bevill State winning the overall series 3-1.
Santana Clark pitched seven innings in Game 1, giving up five earned runs and a walk, while striking out three batters. At the plate, AK Tyree had a one-run single and Brynn Repicky scored a run.
Jessy Aston got the Game 2 win, giving up a hit, three walks and an earned run, while striking out three batters. Offensively, Brynn Repicky went a perfect 3 for 3 with three RBIs and a run scored, Santana Clark was 3 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored, Carlie Burnham went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Isabelle Santos recorded a hit with two runs scored and AK Tyree recorded a hit.
