Jasper’s Reese, Lynn’s Tittle named Week 5 POTW

SHARE NOW

Jasper’s Trey Reese and Lynn’s Cale Tittle had spectacular games in Week 5 to help their teams earn region victories and earn Player of the Week honors.

Reese, the Jasper Southeast Hospice/WJLX Player of the Week, had a huge impact in Jasper’s great defensive effort against Wenonah, recording three tackles, three assists, two sacks, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery, with Vikings holding an opponent to their lowest point total at seven since last year’s Mars Hill game.

Following on the heels of his stellar outing against Sumiton Christian, Tittle, the Wal-Win Southeast Hospice/WJLX Player of the Week, excelled further against Holy Spirit when he completed 13 of 19 passes for 214 yards with four touchdowns, while rushing for 106 yards with another score. He totaled 320 all-purpose yards on the game and five touchdowns.

Both players will receive plaques and be interviewed to commemorate their performances.
