The Jasper Vikings’ Garrett Busby and the Cordova Blue Devils’ Jeremy Fullman both had plenty of highlight plays Friday night in their teams’ victories to draw Player of the Week honors.
Busby’s versatility was on display in the win over Carver, as he rushed for 48 yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns, while catching three passes for 49 yards with a touchdown — scoring three total touchdowns on the night to be named the Southeast Hospice/WJLX Jasper Player of the Week.
Cordova’s Fullman had a dominant performance on the ground, totaling 222 yards rushing on 10 carries with two touchdowns to earn Southeast Hospice/WJLX Wal-Win Player of the Week.
Both will receive plaques in honor of their efforts and be interviewed this week.
