The Curry Yellow Jackets earned their first victory of the season thanks a great day on offense by Kameron Miles, while Jasper’s Tanner Morrow shined in the Vikings’ contest against Sidney Lanier to both earn WJLX/Kustom Trophy Player of the Week 6 honors.
Curry’s offensive line helped create several award-worthy performances, inlcuding Miles’ 10-carry, 185-yard outing, where he added three touchdowns to be named the Wal-Win Area Player of the Week. The Yellow Jackets rushing offense produced 391 yards and seven touchdowns.
Against Sidney Lanier, Tanner Morrow passed for 305 yards with two touchdowns, while adding a touchdown on the ground to be named Jasper Player of the Week.
Both players will be interviewed and be invited to the Postseason Awards banquet.
