Lamar Chambless, born on September 1, 1942, former owner of Lamar's Glass passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday March 2, 2021 at his home in Curry, AL, after a long illness of Parkinson's disease.
He was a lifelong member of Arley First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts to be given to Arley First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his Wife: Betty Carol Chambless; Parents: Sam and Jessel Chambless; Brother: James Chambless; Sister: Doris Chambless.
He is survived by his Wife: Betty Sullivan Chambless; Stepsons: Chris Sullivan of Curry, AL and Eric Sullivan of Franklin, TN; Grandchildren: Elizabeth (Drew) Carter of Atlanta, GA, Jonathan Sullivan of Birmingham, AL, Sally Grace Sullivan of Birmingham, AL, Isabella Sullivan of Franklin, TN and Lochlann Sullivan of Franklin, TN; Niece: Suzanne (Eric) Farley of Curry, AL; Nephew: Patrick (Erin) Chambless of Elkmont, Al; Great Nephews: Nick Chambless of Elkmont, AL, Liam Chambless of Elkmont, AL, John Moses Farley of Curry, AL; Great Niece: Katie Chambless of Elkmont, AL.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Arley First Baptist Church and officiated by Patrick Chambless and Roger Houston. Family requests those in attendance to wear masks out of respect to those at risk for COVID.
