Bobbie Nell Murray, 78, of Double Springs, entered into rest Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Huntsville Hospital Emergency Room.
Mrs. Murray was born April 22, 1942, in Alabama. Bobbie was an employee of 20 years at Drummond Coal Company where she worked in many different positions. After leaving Drummond, Mrs. Murray went back to school to become an operating room technician. Mrs. Bobbie absolutely loved working in the operating room and worked there until she retired.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 14, 2021, from noon until 1:30 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at Pinetucky Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Double Springs, where burial will follow.
Bobbie is survived by her daughters, Vanda (Tony) Aaron and Donna (Bobby) Harris; a sister, Janice (Robert) Poppenhusen; grandchildren, Damon (Stephanie) Williamson, Devin (Rob) Coble, Courtney Hamby, Clint (Rusti) Harris, and Emily (Seth) Cheatham; great-grandchildren, Dakota Morris, Brayden Williamson, Blaine Coble, Canaan Williamson, Trent Marks, Colden Mertens, Avery Hamby, Ansley Hamby, Daryl Coble, Bobby Coble, Patricia Miles, Kruz Cheatham, Kannen Cheatham, Hunter Ellis, and Cade Harris; great-great-grandchildren, Cooper Miles, Rosie Miles, and Nate Miles; honorary grandsons, Eli Dempsey, Hunter Sutherland, Jessie Todd, and Rhett Guthrie; and very special friend, Rebecca Guthrie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. “Bill” Murray; son, Robert Charles “Bubba” Davis; parents, Charles H. and Lonella Christine Jones; and sister, Peggye Alexander.
