Aletha Wynell West Uptain Snelgrove, age 80 of Nauvoo, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at her residence.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Holy Church of Christ, funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m.  Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.  Dewayne West and Mike Jackson will officiate.

Mrs. Snelgrove was preceded in death by Parents-Verbon and Alene West; Husband-Bryce Uptain; Husband-Raymond Snelgrove; Sister-Carolyn Spears; Grandson-Adam Steadman; Special Aunt-Faye Earnest.

She is survived by her Daughters-Paula Cook (Clint) and Rhonda Steadman (Greg); Son-Dennis Uptain (Phyllis); Sisters-Martha Uptain (Allen) and Helen O’Neill; Brothers-Mackie West (Jean)and Fredric West (Judy); Brother-in-law-Glen Snelgrove (Ruth); Grandchildren-Bambi Evans, Brandi Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Ali Steadman, Nikki Higginbotham, Coleton Steadman, Chey Harrington and Dakota Drummond; Great Grandchildren-Shayla Wilson, Ethan Wilson, Zane Wilson, Gabi Evans, Rayllie Evans and Henslee  Higginbotham.
