Jasper’s Castillo, Winston Co.’s Clemons named Week 10 POTW

Castillo totalled 14 tackles against No. 3 Pleasant Grove’s high-powered offense to earn Southeast Hospice/WJLX Jasper Player of the Week honors. Castillo is one of the Vikings’ top tacklers on the season and led the team in tackles in 2021.

Winston County needed contributions from everyone on their roster to secure a postseason bid, with Clemons and his offensive line coming up with key plays. Clemons ran for 146 yards with a pair of touchdowns and also returned kickoff for a score to be named Southeast Hospice/WJLX Wal-Win Player of the Week.

Both players will be presented with a trophy and interviewed this week.
