Coastal-North edges Bevill State

A three-point basket for Bevill State to tie Tuesday’s game and send the contest into overtime couldn’t connect, with the Bears falling to the Coastal Alabama North Eagles, 69-66, at Glen Clem Gymnasium.

Camron Scott led the Bears with 19 points, six rebounds, three steals and a block, while Maurice Johnson earned Pinnacle Bank/WJLX 101.5 FM Player of the Game honors after scoring 12 points with six steals. Carterius Evans had ten points and five rebounds.

Bevill State held a one-point lead at the half, 32-31. A hotly-contested second half saw the Eagles outscore the Bears 38-34 for the win.

Bevill State returns to action on Thursday against Wallace-Selma.
